HOW DO I GET THERE?

You will need to book your own flights, we can recommend the best airport once the route is confirmed.

Depending on where you are flying from, we recommend that you arrive early, maybe one day, or two days, this will help you adjust to jet lag.

One airport transfer will be provided for the participants, but should you wish to travel outside of this timeframe, you will need to arrange your own transfer for yourself and your bike.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

  • Registration Fee: £1,800
  • Sponsorship Minimum: £2,200

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

  • Accommodation for 5 nights
  • Three meals per day*
  • Refreshments and snacks along the route
  • Full coaching support in the run-up and during the event
  • Transport between each stage for you and your bike

*full meals for the 4 days of the experience and welcome dinner on first night

**there is one set transfer for arrival and departure. Anything outside of that, you will need to arrange yourself.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED

  • Flights and Insurance
  • Bike transfer fees
  • Energy supplements such as gels, bars and powder
  • Mechanical Support (you will need to be able to assemble and repair your own bike)

I HAVE MS, CAN I STILL RIDE?

Yes, of course. If you are deemed medically fit, we would love to have you on board. We have been privileged to have a number of incredible riders with MS join us over the years.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

Cykelnerven International is a global event, expect to meet cycling enthusiasts from all over the world!

  • The event is a test of your ability to climb some of the toughest mountains in the world, so expect to be self-sufficient - If you get a puncture you must fix it - you have to take responsibility over your climb.
  • If there are injuries or illnesses, do not worry, our first-aid trained team will take care of you.
  • If there are serious issues with bikes, do not worry our support crew will pick you up.
  • Expect cheering and support along the way, by the end of the week you won't want to hear "Allez, Allez!" ever again.
  • You will ride in groups according to your ability, with a experienced coaches.
  • Expect to be staying in the most beautiful villages across the mountains of Europe.
  • You will get breakfast at the hotel you stay at, lunch on the road (usually half way on the route) and dinner is usually buffet style, providing a great opportunity for you to get to know your fellow riders.
  • You will have a dedicated team from MSIF looking after you during the trip, it is our job to make sure you are safe and know what is happening in the mornings and evenings, (we won’t be present at all times during the cycle). All briefings will be in English, so you know what to expect each day.
  • Expect to share a room (a small number of single rooms will be available, at an extra cost)
  • You will have the most unforgettable time of your life.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF ME AS A RIDER?

You are much more than a rider if you are a participant in Cykelnerven International 2025. You are part of the legacy.

As a rider you will be an ambassador for Cykelnerven International and the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation. Through your fundraising, you will be helping us to spread the word about our work and how we colaborate with our members to improve the health and wellbeing of people with MS globally.

CAN I BRING MY OWN BIKE?

  • Yes you can. You will need to pack the bike and place it in a sturdy carrier, and bring it with you on your flight. If you are taking the group airport transfer, there will be room for your bike as well.(Should your travel fall outside of the scheduled transfer, you will need to arrange this yourself).
  • Alternatively, you can rent a bike locally. Get in touch with the team for recommendations.
